Information about the Pluto Guardians initiative, also known as multisig signers.

Overview

The Pluto Guardians are responsible for making critical decisions regarding contract upgrades, pausing functionality, and adjusting parameters within the Pluto ecosystem. These duties ensure the protocol's security and smooth operation.

The multisig roles are divided into two main categories:

1. Financial-Treasury Multisig

2. Technical Multisig

These roles were established during the initial deployment to ensure the protocol's safety and operational integrity. The initial core team members performed the deployment ceremony, setting up the necessary wallet addresses for multisig operations. Multisig members and a signer count requirement will be added later added to enhance security.

Commitment to Decentralization

The core members are dedicated to decentralizing control by transitioning responsibilities to the Pluto DAO. Upon the DAO's full activation, the core members will hand over the keys, ensuring the community governs the protocol.

The Pluto Multi-sig

The Pluto Multi-sig is a 3-of-5 multisig setup, currently composed entirely of core team members. This structure ensures robust security and distributed control within the core team.

In due time, we will invite respected members of the Solana community who are interested in helping secure Pluto.

Temporary Treasury Account

This account collects 90% of the Pluto Fees. The Financial-Treasury multi-sig members are responsible for transferring these funds manually to the Main Treasury Account on a regular basis, ensuring seamless operations.

Insurance Fund

The remaining 10% of Pluto Fees go into the Insurance Fund. This fund is set aside for handling any potential bad debt, offering additional security to users and the system as a whole.
